Inclusive Relationship Therapy in Philadelphia
Couples Therapy with Dr. Sam Colbert
A safe and supportive environment to deepen connection, address communication gaps, rebuild trust, and manage life transitions.
Enriching Couples Therapy Tailored to Your Unique Relationship
I specialize in couples/relationship therapy and have training in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT), an empirically validated approach to couples therapy that integrates tenants of systemic attachment, humanistic, experiential and emotion focused therapies.
From crisis to a desire to reach deeper levels of connection with one’s partner, I work to engender a safe, yet challenging space, where couples can reach new levels of vulnerability with one another.
At the heart of most of our suffering is disconnection. Disconnection from ourselves, from our loved ones. With relationship therapy, we can get to the heart of much of our suffering and work towards healing.
“All of us, from cradle to grave, are happiest when life is organized as a series of excursions, long or short, from the secure base provided by our attachment figure(s).” -John Bowlby
